STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Advanced University degree in Political Science, International Development, Development Economics, Marketing Communications, or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses.

Language: Fluency (level C) in English and Spanish language.

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
This job is found in Nicaragua Country Office, based in Managua and reports to the Head of Partnerships and Project Management. Job holders are required to carry out well-defined activities and straight forward analytical work. They are likely to be working closely with other units receiving guidance and regular feedback on work performed.

JOB PURPOSE
To provide support to the Partnership and Project Management Unit, particularly in the areas of partnerships and reporting to effectively position the work of the Country Office and seek support to meet food assistance needs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
1. Provide support to the partnerships team in the preparation of donor proposals, collection of data, analysis and write-up of documents to mobilize resources, ensuring a coordinated approach with other relevant Country Office units. 2. Track and present data to support managers in developing new strategies to maintain and increase funding from new and traditional donors. 3. Prepare briefing material and strategic messages for senior management ahead of meetings or donor events. 4. Support the Country Office’s engagement with global private sector partners, seeking to identify new funding opportunities towards the CO’s portfolio. 5. Prepare internal and external advocacy material, fact sheets, presentations, and other documents to ensure overall quality. 6. Support in the preparation of monthly, annual, ad-hoc, and donor specific reports of WFP Nicaragua’s operations and programmes to inform on results, lessons learned and best practices, ensuring that rigorous quality standards are maintained, in line with WFP’s corporate reporting guidelines. 7. Provide analysis on humanitarian and development issues, socioeconomic events, and relevant trends to ensure country specific input to WFP’s operational reporting. 8. Provide guidance and training to support staff, acting as a point of referral and assisting them with analysis and queries. 9. Other as required.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Position: Partnerships and Reporting Associate – SC6

Contract type: Service Contract

Duty Station: Managua, Nicaragua

Contract length: 11 months. Renewable according to performance.
